Anatomical Shorthand

Drawings made utilizing information from both Robert Beverly Hale and Michael Mentler. In these drawings the goal is to reduce the figures complexity so it is easily remembered. This information has enabled me to construct the figure with confidence and to do so with speed. Yes, I draw on napkins.

Digital Doodle

I have such a fun time doodle'n in photoshop. It is always good to let loose and draw freely for a moment. Sessions like this can be likened to musicians practicing scales.

After the artist

A couple copies after the artist. The figure on the left is Giuseppe Cesari "Studies for a Flagellation of Christ". The right figure is after Michelangelo Buonarroti "Study for the Creation of Adam". Done with one of my favorites mediums, the trusty Bic Ballpoint Pen.
